Double Microencapsulation

Development of Double Microencapsulation Technology

What is a capsule?

Encapsulation is a technology of surrounding minute particles (functional material) with a mural material. Capsules are divided into macro, micro, and nano in terms of the capsule size.

As encapsulation protects an internal substance from the external environment, prevents oxidation, and improves conservativeness and stability. In addition, it allows handling of toxic or irritant materials or substances that are easily lost. Furthermore, it also allows containment of a volatile compound that is to be released under a desired condition and controls the speed of discharging the internal substance through a different release system. According to the functional core substance and the capsule type, various functions can be given.

Most medicines and functional materials are absorbed by the human intestines so their effect and efficacy can be felt. Thus, to maximize effect and efficacy, the substances should pass through the intestines while not being damaged by stomach or bile acid.
CHEBIGEN’s microencapsulation is a special technology that allows a substance to be stabilized in the stomach or bile acid and sent to the intestines.
